Rhine Falls, Switzerland

Switzerland September 2008

Lucerne was our destination in Switzerland and I really liked it there. On the way, we stopped at the Rhine Falls. It was so beautiful. Things in Switzerland are really expensive though!

On the first evening in Lucerne, we went to a traditional Swiss dinner with lots of entertainment. We were right up front and they chose Corey to go up and try blowing the Alphorn. It was tougher than she thought it would be. They taught all of us to yodel and then called some people up on stage to practice with the host. Erika went up and didn't realize she'd be yodeling alone. I was worried she might chicken out but she didn't. She did a great job and got a mug of soda for her efforts.

Lion Monument in Lucerne, it would have looked better if someone wasn't working on it while I was trying to take pictures!

Erika's prize for yodeling, you can see the tray of beer on the stage - that's what everyone else got.

The swiss entertainment, they played for 2 hours. They had all sorts of different instruments I hadn't ever seen before.
